Working Principle

The electromagnetic vibrating feeder generates an alternating magnetic field by passing an electrical current through an electromagnetic coil. This causes the coil and the attached tray (or chute) to vibrate rapidly up and down or back and forth. These vibrations propel the material forward in a controlled manner. By adjusting the vibration amplitude and frequency, operators can precisely regulate the material flow rate, preventing blockages or uneven distribution.

Structure

The primary structure consists of a feed trough and an electromagnetic exciter. Compared to traditional motor-driven vibrating feeders, the electromagnetic model features a simpler design with fewer moving parts. Instead of relying on a motor, it uses magnetic pulses from an electromagnet to drive the trough’s vibration.

Types of Electromagnetic Vibrating Feeders

Electromagnetic vibrating feeders are categorized based on their structure and installation method:

  • By Structure: Open type and closed type
  • By Installation: Hanging (suspended) type and table (Foot mounted) type

Key Features

  • Adjustable Feeding Speed: Operators can manually fine-tune the feeding rate to adapt flexibly to changing production needs.

  • Quick Response & Precise Control: The electromagnetic drive system offers rapid response times, allowing for instant start/stop operation, precise material supply, and efficient control.

  • Reduced Material Degradation: The smooth, gentle vibrating motion significantly reduces material breakage—cutting the risk of crushing by approximately 50%.

  • Efficient Direct Feeding: Compared to traditional screw feeders, electromagnetic feeders deliver higher efficiency and a more direct transfer path, making them ideal for fragile or large, irregularly shaped particles
