Grill magnets utilize permanent magnets or electromagnets to capture and trap ferrous impurities from free-flowing feeds. They are specifically engineered for installation points where bulk inputs or outputs pass through. Arranging the grill tubes in an alternating pattern significantly boosts iron-trapping efficiency. Positioning is typically at the hopper inlet; however, if that isn’t feasible, grills can be placed at discharge outlets, floor openings, catch bins, or any custom location specified by the client.

The magnetic grill consists of hollow stainless steel (SS) tubes arranged parallel to one another and held securely by transverse support brackets. The hollow cylinders are packed tightly with disk-shaped rare-earth magnets, eliminating dead spaces and ensuring uniform magnetic coverage across the entire grill surface.

Grill configurations vary based on the shape and dimensions of your hopper:

• Square Hoppers: Standard square magnetic grills.

• Round Hoppers: Matching circular magnetic grills.

• Custom Processing Areas: Custom-tailored shapes and dimensions for collection points and non-standard equipment.

• The correctly sized magnetic grill is installed in the hopper or discharge point.

• As free-flowing raw material passes through the hopper, any ferrous contaminants immediately adhere to the magnetic tubes and remain trapped.

• Processing can run continuously without requiring frequent shutdowns.

• Once a significant amount of tramp metal accumulates on the tubes, cleaning is required.

• Manual Cleaning: The operator lifts the grill out of the hopper and manually clears the debris using protective gloves.

• Automatic Cleaning: Models with built-in self-cleaning mechanisms are also available to eliminate manual labor.
